How to Prevent Vape Headaches

One of the most common side effects of vaping is headaches. However, not everyone suffers from them so it shouldn’t put you off giving vaping a try. Usually, vape headaches can be prevented by making some changes to your vaping style or liquid.

What causes vape headaches?

Vape headaches can be caused by a few different things:

  • Too high nicotine content
  • Sensitivity to PG
  • Vaping too much

Here are some ways to prevent vape headaches without having to stop altogether.

Reduce your nicotine content

Having a nicotine level that is too high for you can leave you feeling sick, dizzy and with a headache. Make sure that you are choosing an appropriate mg for your needs. As a guide we suggest you follow this to help you find your nicotine sweet spot:

18mg – 20 cigs a day

10-12mg – 10 cigs a day

3-6mg – Less than 10 cigs a day

0mg – 0 cigs a day

Lower your PG content

Some people find that when the PG content is too high it reduces in a vape headache. If this is the case opt for an e-liquid that has a higher VG content, such as Doozy Vapes or Grinny Heaths. We stock a variety of high VG e-liquids that can be delivered to you the same day you order.

Vaping too much can cause vape headaches

We know what it’s like. You get a new flavour, a new coil and you just can’t put it down. However, pounding your vape in this way can leave you with a sore head. You also might find yourself feeling nauseous, dizzy and a little rubbish.

Once you have taken these steps you should notice a reduction in vape headaches. If the problem carries on after making the changes then give vaping a rest for a while. If the headaches remain it could be a health issue that needs sorting.
